The 5 Bodies or Levels of Healing

The 5 Bodies or Levels of Healing

The model of the five bodies or levels is possibly one of the most extraordinary ways of contemplating true healing. When these five levels, or pyramid-like planes, are studied carefully, something seems to awaken within us that connects with an ancient wisdom developed in the Himalayan mountains 12,000 years ago, which has had a major influence on Tibetan medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurvedic medicine.

This model tells us that we are not only a physical body, but that we are surrounded and permeated by four other invisible bodies.

Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt discovered this healing model while working as a physician in India, where he met an elderly yogi master whose teachings form the basis of these five levels.

Level 1: The Physical Body

This is the most basic level, but that does not make it any less valuable: the physical body. It is the foundation upon which everything else rests. It is our connection with the earth and the source of our physical energy.

The physical body is the sum of our biochemical structure and resonates directly with our five senses.

This body is the domain of conventional medicine. The laws governing it are biochemical and mechanical laws.

For example, when certain illnesses are diagnosed—whether physical, psychological, or psychosomatic—it is known that a high percentage of cases involve significant deficiencies in certain minerals and vitamins.

The true diagnosis at this level would therefore be “a deficiency of certain minerals or vitamins.” If we provide the patient with additional supplements of these nutrients, they may maintain a reasonable vital balance.

Note: Today, due to the growing presence of toxic substances in our food and environment—heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, GMOs, new vaccines, electromagnetic fields, and other toxic elements such as refined salts and sugars or palm oil—it is essential to carry out at least a minimal detoxification at the cellular level. For this reason, in addition to consuming the appropriate nutrients, it becomes necessary to detoxify the body from time to time. One interesting option is intermittent fasting, which consists, for example, of eating only between noon and 6 p.m. and allowing the body to rest without food for the remaining 18 hours.

In this process, both oxygen and water are very important, especially clean, hexagonally structured water.

On the other hand, recent advances in stem cells have placed this technology at the forefront of the revolution in modern medicine.

Level 2: The Electromagnetic Body

The electromagnetic body is the sum of all electrical and magnetic events caused by the neuronal activity of the nervous system.

The electromagnetic fields created by the forces flowing through the nervous system extend outward from the body into space.

These fields extend beyond our skin and, although their strength decreases with distance, theoretically they extend infinitely.

This level is related to the four forces of physics: electromagnetism, gravity, the strong force, and the weak force.

We know that the physical body generates various phenomena that can only be explained through physics that is invisible to our eyes.

Our body generates electromagnetic fields and creates light emissions at a quantum frequency. These are biophotons with a very low radiation density that are extremely important for maintaining our health.

The energy body helps us regulate our physical body.

The techniques that work at this second level include various therapies involving magnetic fields, such as acupuncture.

If we examine a patient from this perspective, we may discover that their body is not absorbing certain nutrients because of abnormal activity in the sympathetic nervous system. However, this condition may respond reasonably well to periodic acupuncture or another form of neural therapy.

The patient will begin absorbing the nutrients they need again and may improve without needing mineral supplements.

When the second level is harmonized, it has an organizing effect on the first.

The laws operating at this level are those of neurophysiology, and both acupuncture and similar techniques can have very positive effects at this level.

Level 3: The Mental Body

This body is the place where all the events of our lives are recorded, and it can be said that the mental body extends to infinity squared.

We have been taught that the brain records all the memories of our lives, but in reality this is not so. Modern neuroscience shows that the brain has a number of circuits for short-term memory, but we do not have circuits that explain long-term memory. The place where memories are stored is the biophotonic field, part of the electromagnetic system surrounding our body. The brain is merely a receiver that tunes into the memory store contained within that field.

Modern biology tells us that every cell in the body undergoes more than 100,000 biochemical reactions per second, and these chemical reactions must be very carefully timed and sequenced with one another. For years, physicists, biochemists, and biologists have searched for the organizing principle that directs this sophisticated dance of our chemistry.

German physicist Dr. Albert Popp, a world leader in biophoton field theory, explains how it works: DNA vibrates in every cell at a frequency of several billion hertz. Unfortunately for our health, our mobile phones communicate at a very similar frequency.

Our DNA contracts and expands several billion times per second, and every time it contracts it releases a biophoton containing all the genetic information—the genes active at that moment, those being transcribed, those that are methylated, and those that are silenced.

This transfer of information through biophotons is bidirectional. They carry information about everything occurring in the DNA—each photon is capable of carrying more than four megabytes of information—and communicate it outside our body to other biophotons through several phenomena: coherence, modulation frequencies, modulation amplitude, and a property known as squeezed light.

We are therefore surrounded by a highly structured field of light, which carries what we call long-term memory.

This field of light also regulates the activity of metabolic enzymes. DNA sends information outward, and the body’s biophotons transmit this information to the cell. The receptor of light in the cell’s connective tissue is tubulin. Tubulin is a conductive molecule that receives light and carries it throughout the body at the speed of light.

Metabolic enzymes—for example, those in the mitochondria—are carefully aligned along a sequence of tubulin molecules.

This light information is translated within each cell, activating or deactivating metabolic enzymes.

And here comes the truly important point: of all the toxins that destroy tubulin, mercury occupies a unique place, disrupting the transmission of light from the biophoton field to the cells and metabolic enzymes. In other words, it disconnects the organizing intelligence that directs our chemistry.

Fortunately, there is another side to this: the biophoton field can be influenced by light. In other words, we can use light frequencies to modulate the activity of the biophoton field and heal our body.

As we can see, we do not exist through biochemistry alone.

From this mental level, a patient with a psychosomatic illness may have an unresolved conflict with a father who behaved in a highly oppressive manner through criticism, punishment, or even physical violence.

Unresolved memories remaining in the limbic system are responsible for stimulating the hypothalamus and sending messages to the sympathetic nervous system, which remains in a state of chronic arousal.

By resolving the conflict through an appropriate mental-emotional therapy, such as Primal Therapy, a direct effect is produced in the affected area of the limbic system. As a result, the celiac ganglion of the sympathetic nervous system “cools down,” and the patient improves because they begin absorbing the nutrients their body needs.

This level has a harmonizing effect on the first two levels. However, although it may seem sufficient to resolve the higher levels, it is important to remember that without nutrient absorption (Level 1) and a properly functioning autonomic nervous system (Level 2), the patient would not have the energy or mental balance necessary to remember the past and work through their problem in a healing way.

Since the energy required for healing comes from the lower levels, it is better to treat all levels simultaneously, taking the necessary supplements and receiving support from some form of neural therapy, at least during the initial period.

The laws governing the third level are very simple natural rules that are being rediscovered by modern psychotherapy.

These laws concern properly feeding a child, keeping them warm and making them feel safe, loving them, and giving them the opportunity to learn and grow at their own pace.

Every violation of their primary natural needs has consequences, leading to fairly predictable distortions of the mind, nervous system, and immune system.

Level 4: The Transpersonal Body

Levels 4 and 5 reach expansive dimensions that are incomprehensible to the human mind. Only mathematics can conceive of the dimensions of these final two levels.

The fourth level is the transpersonal body, the dreaming body, the intuitive body. It is the realm of the shaman and of metaphysical experiences.

The transpersonal body is the highest level at which interaction between physician/therapist and client/patient is possible.

The most effective tools at this level are Family Constellations.

The laws governing this level are the rules and orders of Family Systems Therapy discovered by Bert Hellinger.

Family Constellations are based on the observation that unresolved traumas and conflicts suffered by our ancestors—parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and even earlier generations—remain active, waiting to be resolved, generating systemic entanglements that can manifest and repeat themselves across several generations.

Trauma does not disappear with death. Our ancestors’ unresolved problems do not vanish when they die; instead, they manifest in different ways in subsequent generations, and the underlying source of an illness can often be found two or more generations in the past.

The methodology of Family Constellations is expanding increasingly throughout the world, yet this powerful tool remains unknown to many healthcare professionals.

Problems such as alien abductions or the presence of malevolent entities lose their power when respect and love are established among all members of the family.

A specific psychosomatic illness may be the patient’s way of expressing a desire to disappear. Connecting with and resolving the systemic entanglements that push them toward disappearance will produce a change in how they feel and behave.

Family Constellations are especially useful with autistic children. Autism does not originate only in vaccines, the presence of mercury, electromagnetic exposure, or other exposures that we know with certainty are contributing factors in autism.

Autism is connected with family history, and when problems within the family history are resolved, the improvement in these children is often magical.

The effects of family trauma may emerge three or four generations later in an autistic child. It is a trauma hidden in the family’s past that manifests here and now in an innocent child.

Healing at this level often leads to the disappearance of unresolved conflicts associated with the third level. However, it is important to emphasize that the necessary energy must flow upward from the supporting levels.

Simple interventions at the first levels would establish the foundation that makes work at the fourth level possible.

Level 5: The Spiritual Body

The fifth body is the level of self-healing. This level is connected with the divine wisdom and intelligence that accompanies and guides us. It is an individual, private, and personal level, and the only possible relationship here is the direct relationship between the individual and the supreme “BEING.”

No doctor, psychologist, or guru can teach us through words how to connect with our divine essence.

Those who have truly experienced this level have an attitude of profound respect and know that it is a deeply personal experience that cannot be explained in words.

It is the level of gratitude toward Life, Being, the Whole, or God.

After resolving their problem, the patient and therapist can turn “inward” and “upward” with an attitude of profound gratitude.

Among “New Age” enthusiasts, there are often significant unresolved family issues, or guilt that has been taken on from other family members or “earned” through our own mistakes.

Engaging in extensive spiritual practices in order to avoid the healing work required at other levels does not work, and the true underlying causes are never fully addressed and resolved.

Working at this level means doing something “good” with the renewed hope, vitality, and clarity that have been gained.

Prayer or meditation may be enough, but perhaps not. If the work is not properly completed at this level, there may be a relapse into the previous condition. Suggested references include Gangaji, Mooji, Byron Katie, Eckhart Tolle, and others.

Conclusions

This vertical map toward integral healing can provide valuable guidance for anyone who wants to understand what “Holistic Medicine” truly means.

It is a guide that can make the therapist’s journey easier within the sometimes chaotic landscape of therapeutic techniques and methods.

Understanding these five levels means realizing that an illness cannot be healed by treating it at a level different from the one where it originated. At most, we may temporarily make the symptoms disappear.

When we truly intervene at the level where the illness originates, it disappears.

Certain orders and rules appear to govern the relationship between these five levels of healing, and each level has its own laws and order that need to be recognized and understood.

The three lower levels belong to the personal plane, while Levels 4 and 5 belong to the transpersonal realm.

The higher levels have a powerful influence on the organization of the lower levels, but it is the lower levels that supply energy to the higher ones and create the boundaries within which the individual exists.

Every phenomenon we can observe in the physical realm appears to occur simultaneously at the other four levels. In fact, the physical body is designed like a computer screen that makes visible and tangible everything that is happening—or has been happening for some time—at the higher levels.

In this sense, an individual may have problems at the higher levels that have not yet penetrated the lower ones.

This is known, for example, in acupuncture, where disturbances at Level 2 can be perceived before symptoms occur.

Traditionally, a Chinese physician was paid while the patient’s physical body remained healthy. The physician’s task was to detect and correct disturbances at Level 2 before they penetrated the physical plane.

True healing frequently requires simultaneous work on all five levels.

The practical conclusions for living a healthy life and knowing how to guide patients toward well-being could be summarized as follows:

A) Make as much effort as possible to heal your own family relationships—children, parents, grandparents, great-uncles and great-aunts, great-grandparents, and so on.

Do not rest until there is love and respect among everyone in the same generation and in the two preceding generations.

“Our family” should also include children who died young and aborted children, as well as partners who were excluded after separation, mothers who died during childbirth, uncles who died in war, and so on.

True healing requires relating to and communicating with all living family members and maintaining a loving memory of all those who have died.

B) Make an effort to regenerate as much energy as possible within the first three levels. Eat and sleep properly, exercise, and take the vitamins and minerals you need. Nourish your electrical body through massage, acupuncture, neural therapy, the water of a waterfall, and so on. Listen to good music and do your yoga stretches. On the mental plane, work through confusion and unresolved conflicts with an experienced psychotherapist.

C) Turn inward and explore Level 5. Do not follow anyone else’s advice at this level. Create time and space to be alone. You need your whole being, without distractions, to work at this level.

Mooji, Peter Crone, Gangaji, and Byron Katie are references at this level.
